Durham University Business School

In the city's innovation district on the banks of the River Wear, the new Durham University Business School is home to the departments of Management and Marketing It is also the location for the University's Executive education and DBA programmes, as well as its MBA programme, which is consistently rated among the UK's top ten.

Within the facility, Audience Systems worked on two spaces - the large lecture theatre shown here, as well as a "Harvard-style" lecture theatre. 

The bank of seating blends beautifully with the walls and the striking ceiling - the tiers are finished with a smart side panel, and oak writing tablets. The seat backs are individually manufactured for each row - varying in height, they create a seamless appearance to the seating bank. Rollaway sections of writing desk towards the front of the room are designed to assist students with disabilities.
