CONFERENCE VENUES

Below you'll find some examples of our work in all kinds of  conference venues. If you'd like to look at our lecture theatre or auditorium chairs, you can find them on our chairs page here, or for retractable seating, click here.

Whether a dedicated conference destination, or a multipurpose or education venue looking to attract events, the choice of seating has a pivotal role in a conference facility’s revenue potential.

The seating design will of course determine the venue’s ultimate capacity. Flexibility can also be crucial – without an adaptable seating layout, a venue may not be suitable for certain types of events. And of course it’s not just about practicality - beautiful, comfortable seats give an auditorium the desirability that keeps your clients re-booking.

Retractable seating

For large scale conference facilities, heavy duty functionality can be combined with a little finesse. At the International Conference Centre, ExCeL, London, fourteen large and completely mobile banks of retractable seating offer almost limitless configurations. At the same time, a special fabric and timber armrests to the architect’s exact specification complement the building’s elegant interior. Deep seat pans add a touch of luxury.

For a small to medium size venue, a single bank of retractable seating can be well-suited. Power operation speeds reconfigurations and saves man hours. Optional fold out writing tablets can increase appeal to conference clients.

Removable seating

Permanent fixed seats, and stacking or removable chairs often work well alongside a retractable bank. At the Bournemouth International Centre, Audience Systems provided bespoke stacking chairs to the venue’s design. At Ricoh Arena in Coventry and SECC in Glasgow, our matrix removable seating creates additional seating capacity on the floor as and when required.

Fixed Seating

If you plan a fixed auditorium, a more traditional theatre chair is instantly welcoming. This is illustrated on a grand scale here at the Colorado Convention Centre (below left).

A fixed writing tablet gives all the space delegates need for notes and devices during academic conferences or training sessions (below right).

A more cinematic chair offers long term seated comfort – key where delegates may be sitting for long sessions. A folding writing tablet gives extra flexibility.

Stages

We offer a wide range of stage options in partnership with renowned German manufacturer Trenomat. The range includes simple stages that can be folded away onto trolleys, scissor leg stages and sophisticated power operated air stages which rise out of the venue floor .
