Raising the specification

This high backed version of our classic chair is suitable for high end multipurpose auditoria providing comfort, finesse and practicality.

  • Seamless Mechanism

    When the chair is vacated, the seat, back and arm rotate in a smooth gravity-driven motion to form a neat, upright closed envelope.

  • Compact

    Just 145mm deep when closed (150mm with plastic protection panels). This creates wide, safe walkways in front of the chairs.

  • Versatile

    Suitable for retractable, fixed and removable applications.

  • Nylon bushings for silent operation

    Ideal for performing arts spaces.

  • Tested for Safe Emissions

    A representative sample has been tested for emissions of three key chemicals: VOCs, formaldehyde and acetaldehyde. The emissions fell within acceptable limits specified within the BREEAM, LEED and WELL standards. We can supply details to building designers on request.

Options

Plastic Panels

Durable plastic protection panels are available for the outer back and/or seat underside. The plastic panels wrap right around the corners of the upholstery, significantly reducing wear.

All versions of the chair feature a protective steel kickplate to the lower third of the backrest.

Sprung Seat Pan

For additional comfort.

Fixed Back Option

Normally, the Espace 628 High Back's backrest moves downwards as the seat folds up to create a neat, compact closed envelope. For some venues, a static backrest may be more appropriate.

High Specification Customisation

A variety of high specification options can be specified including plain, slotted or perforated timber panels for the outer back and seat underside

Upgrades

The Espace 628CC is a variation on this chair with a special thick, sprung seat and tactile contoured wooden armrests.
