Opens with One Switch
At the press of the remote controller, the platforms open and the seats lift into place.
Straight Every Time
The responsive design of the drive system means that the platforns open perfectly straight every time, adjusting to maintain flawless alignment. This reduces wear and tear on the unit, giving smooth, trouble free operation and extending the life expectancy of the system.
Robust Drive System
RCS’s non-friction drive system is incredibly resilient. Drive links are wrapped around a drum and extend to push the rows open from the rear – meaning no direct load is placed on the floor. Take a look at the video below.
Smart Fault Finding
Safety sensors are included. In the event that anything interrupts the system’s operation – for example if an object is left in front of the seats or on the floor, or a removable rail is still in place, a status message and guidance will be displayed on your remote controller.
Minimum Vibration
The structure is specifically designed to minimise vibrations in all all directions as people walk across the structure.

Side Safety Rails and Panels
Self storing rails and side panels retract automatically with the platforms as they close. The side panels are manufactured from durable aluminium sandwich panels. The last few rails on the system must be removed manually, however.
Aisle Lighting
Depending on seat model, this is normally provided within the end panels of the chairs. The LED lamps emit gentle diffused lighting which does not produce glare for performers.
Steps
The front step is hinged and can be folded neatly onto the first platform ready for the seating to be retracted.

Unit Types
Fixed
Fixed retractable seating is ideal for installations where the unit will only ever need to be anchored into one position. Simple and easy to use, the telescopic platforms can be opened at a moment’s notice.
Recessed
Recessed systems are designed to be neatly stowed in an alcove or under a balcony. They are ideal for creating a neat flush finish within a wall, or for integrating retractable auditorium seating with balcony seating above.
