Audience Systems Introduces New Range of Auditorium Chairs

Audience Systems is introducing a superb new range of seats for theatres, arts venues and conference centres.

Beautifully built and well priced, Alto, Soprano and Mezzo have all been designed around strong ergonomic and aesthetic principles. Each however has its own distinctive personality. Soprano offers outstanding support and simple lines. With its distinctive soft look, Mezzo champions  both fabric and timber. Alto meanwhile brings a level of comfort that feels genuinely different – its clever Ducktail Seat® quietly supports the lumbar spine with a design inspired by zafu cushions used in meditation.

Alto

Each chair features a moulded foam backrest with excellent lumbar support, a silent tipping mechanism ideal for concert halls, and an optional writing tablet. The whole range was designed in Japan by Audience Systems’ parent company Kotobuki, with their outstanding record of human-centred design dating back over 110 years.

Audience Systems’ CEO Gary Pillinger said, “We’ve been talking to our customers for some time now about expanding our range of auditorium chairs. Whilst we are well-known for retractable seating, our range of theatre seats has until now been quite small. It made perfect sense to partner with our colleagues at Kotobuki to introduce this new range. While Soprano, Mezzo and Alto all look a million dollars, our customers have so far been delighted by their price. We look forward to showing off our first installation!”
