The Roxy Theatre first opened in 1930. In the latest stage of the theatre’s modernisation, Audience Systems fitted out the small studio space, or ‘theatrette’ with a high specification, 68 seat retractable seating system.

Although small, the retractable seating system is packed with features. Firstly, unlike most retractable seating systems, this one is designed to bear weight when closed, so can be used as a viewing area or balcony even when the seating is not in use.

We also supplied a row of chairs which can be attached to the front riser of the seating unit – meaning an extra row of capacity can be achieved without an additional platform.

The Espace chairs also have our extra-supportive pocket sprung seats – because a modest capacity doesn’t have to mean modest comfort!
