Many of our team here at Audience Systems joined us early in their careers and have stayed for 15-20 years. We are keen to continue this tradition of nurturing talent.
Through our ongoing apprenticeship programme we plan to continue to build and develop our strengths as a company, taking on and training new apprentices each year.
Our friendly Westbury headquarters is home to over 100 people in a wide variety of roles. In our offices, roles include purchasing and customer services, finance, design engineering, sales and marketing and project management. In our manufacturing facility, specialisms include welding, fabricating, chair assembly, woodshop operation, upholstery and powdercoating. We also employ a network of home-based sales managers, and installation and service engineers who work on our customers’ sites both in the UK and overseas.
This year two people have joined us to learn engineering skills in our factory. Daniel Johnson, 24, from Corsham, (pictured above) previously worked for a hazardous waste company and has joined us in our TX division, welding and fabricating our retractable systems. Daniel says “This is a great opportunity as I had always wanted to do engineering. Everyone here is friendly and willing to give you a hand, and I’m already looking forward to getting more hands on.”
Anthony Thompson, 27, from Trowbridge, (pictured below) previously worked in site maintenance at a school. “My hobbies and interests involve welding and fabrication; I’ve recently restored a classic mini and an old transit van. This is the perfect opportunity for me to earn while I learn.” Both Daniel and Anthony take one day out to attend a local college where they are studying towards a level 3 Understanding of Engineering qualification.
