IT Systems Administrator

Location: Closing Date: 20 September 2019

ROLE SUMMARY:

Contribute to the delivery of a customer focused, responsive and professional IT service by providing first class support to users, systems development and maintenance, to ensure IT meets the evolving needs of the company.   As IT Systems Administrator you will have sole responsibility for IT within the business, you must be self-motivated and be willing develop IT strategies in order to meet business requirements.  

Key duties and accountabilities of the role will include but are not limited to:  

User support - to provide timely and effective resolution to remote and multi-site based user problems and issues.

Domain Administration - working inside and administering a domain environment

Hardware support - to support and maintain including PCs, Laptops, tablets, network and mobile devices printers and scanners.

Software support - to provide software support including licensing control, troubleshooting, upgrades/updates and installations along with supporting bespoke in-house software.

Server support - to provide server maintenance, to include backups, exchange, updates and related administration.

Network support - covering security, LANS, LAN hardware, Wi-Fi, VPN and Firewalls.

Telephony administration - covering IP phone network, mobile phones.

Documentation - to document, maintain and update IT processes. 

OVERVIEW of EXPERIENCE/SKILLS DEMANDED BY THE ROLE: 

Ideal candidates are likely to have either a strong interest in IT, supported by relevant qualifications ( BTEC, HNC, HND or Degree) or have recent, relevant experience working within a similar IT environment with the required exposure for more than 4+ years. Demonstrates a strong aptitude for all things IT. Committed to working as part of a team and be results driven. Good working knowledge of MS Office from 2010 to 365 Good understanding and working knowledge of database principles. Continuous learning and improvement attitude, personally and for the business. Proactive and able to work independently, can prioritize and to deadlines. Good communication skills, telephone, face to face and written.Strong service / customer focus.
