The original space saving design, the Espace 628 has an innovative tip-up mechanism which provides a number of advantages for managers of theatres, arenas and schools - as well as spectators.
As the spectator stands, the counterweight mechanism causes the back to move downwards as the seat tips up. At the same time, the arms fold up automatically. The result is an extremely small and neat closed envelope.

As a result there are the following important implications:
Ease of passage The chair occupies very little of the walkway allowing spectators to pass easily in front of others.
Safety Armrests do not protrude into the walkway, aiding safety in case of emergency.
Capacity In some situations (eg when used with the Matrix system on a flat floor) changing to Espace 628 will allow more chairs to be fitted into the auditorium.
