Unlike the majority of plastic spectator seating, the Zenith and Alpha chairs are constructed from blow moulded polyethylene.
The blow moulding process produces a seat and back which are double skinned with a cavity inside. This offers some distinct advantages over traditional single skinned, injection moulded chairs.

Strength The blow moulded seat and back are inherently strong.
Warmth and comfort With spectators literally supported on a cushion of air, a blow moulded seat offers advantages in terms of insulation and comfort.
Finish With the seat tipped up, many single skinned chairs have an unfinished appearance with visible ribs and metalwork. Both the Alpha and Zenith chairs have a smooth, refined finish both under the seat and to the rear of the back.
Weight Because of the amount of air in the mould, the chair is extremely robust yet surprisingly lightweight. This is a particular advantage when removable chairs are used, for example with a Matrix Floorbar System.
