Overview

Audience Systems are a global leader in seating for theatres, sport, education and major venues, with 40 years’ experience.

Best known as specialists in retractable seating, our complete service includes design, manufacture and installation. We are the market leader in the UK and export to over 50 countries worldwide.

Our International Headquarters and principal manufacturing facility is based in Westbury, UK; we also have offices in the USA and Singapore. The Westbury factory produces approximately 46,000 chairs and 2,400 seat platforms every year. Westbury is also home to our dedicated customer support and servicing operation.

Our Products

With many of our installations still in use after 15-20 years, it is the durability and reliability of our products which frequently earns us referrals.

We are also renowned for finding unique solutions to suit each customer’s particular venue - be it an unusually shaped room, limited ceiling height, a need for a particularly large or complex system or precise sightline requirements.

Our TX Telescopic Platform System is designed to British Standards, and can also be built to meet other international standards. It is supplied with a 10 year warranty on understructure, provided it is regularly serviced. Our chairs comply with national and international standards for strength and flammability.

Our Service

We often work with customers for many months before an order is placed, assisting with concept design, site surveys, and CAD layouts. Before and during the installation, our Project Management team liaise with both clients and contractors to ensure a trouble-free and timely install. Once the project is complete, we are unique in having a dedicated Service and Spares division offering annual maintenance, parts and refurbishment as well as emergency response.

A Short History

Audience Systems was founded in 1972 as a family business and in 1993 became part of the Kotobuki Group. Kotobuki Corporation of Japan is renowned for its pioneering spirit and excellence in design. With revenues in excess of £100m, it provides Audience Systems with a solid foundation from which to invest for the future; whether in modern manufacturing technology or product research and development.
